Ego: Why isn't everyone falling in love with us all the time?
Rational Thought: Maybe because we're part of a larger creature that tends to be anti-social, awkward, and misanthropic. We put more effort into acquiring better sex toys than sexual partners, because the former is a sure bet and the latter an unknown, and is often an exhausting pursuit. We've made it clear to most acquaintances that we value friendships over sexual relationships. We also tend to anthropomorphize our own thought process and then put it on the internet, and that just ain't sexy.
